Industries Defense suppliers and CMMC

CMMC readiness for defense suppliers who need to keep bidding.

CMMC is now part of Department of Defense contracts. We assess where you stand against NIST SP 800-171, close the gaps, build the documentation assessors expect, and keep your controls working long after the assessment.

What is at stake

  • Contract eligibility tied to your CMMC status
  • SPRS scores that must reflect reality
  • Controlled unclassified information in email and file shares
  • Requirements you must flow down to your own suppliers

The reality

What keeps defense contractors up at night.

The phased rollout

The DFARS rule that puts CMMC into contracts took effect November 10, 2025. Phase 2, which brings third party Level 2 assessments into contracts, begins November 10, 2026.

110 requirements, real evidence

Level 2 aligns to the 110 security requirements in NIST SP 800-171. Assessors want to see them working, not just written down.

Your SPRS score

Your self-assessment score in the Supplier Performance Risk System has to be accurate and supportable. An inflated score is a legal risk, not just a technical one.

Where does CUI live?

Most firms do not know every place controlled unclassified information ends up. Scoping it correctly can shrink the effort considerably.

How we protect you

Built for the way defense suppliers actually work.

Gap assessment

A scored assessment against NIST SP 800-171 with a prioritized, realistic remediation plan.

System Security Plan and POA&M

Documentation written to reflect how your environment actually works, not a template.

Secure enclaves

Scoped environments, such as Microsoft GCC High or a segmented enclave, that keep CUI contained.

Remediation

Multifactor authentication, encryption, logging, endpoint protection and access control, implemented and documented.

Continuous monitoring

24 x 7 monitoring, log retention and evidence collection so you stay ready between assessments.

Assessment support

Preparation and support through your self-assessment or your certified third party (C3PAO) assessment.

Tools and terms

Your software. Your language.

We already support the applications defense suppliers run on, and we know the words you use every day. No translating required.

Compliance & Risk

Mapped to what you will be asked about.

We cross-walk our controls to the rules and requirements in your world, so you can prove your security, not just describe it.

Protect and prove

We close the gaps, document every control and keep it that way.

Questions we hear

Fair questions.

Which CMMC level do we need?

If you handle only federal contract information, Level 1. If you handle controlled unclassified information, most contracts will call for Level 2. Your contract clauses and the data you receive decide it, and we help you read both.

How long does it take to get ready?

It depends on your starting point. Organizations starting from scratch often need many months for Level 2, which is why a gap assessment is the right first step.

Can you be our assessor?

No. Assessors must be independent. We prepare you and support you through a self-assessment or a certified third party assessment.

Do we have to move to GCC High?

Not always. It depends on your contracts, the data you handle and your current Microsoft 365 setup. We walk through the options with you before recommending one.

Ready for security that holds up under scrutiny?

Pick the next step that fits. Every one of them starts with a real conversation, not a sales script.
